Dear friends,
I have some exciting news to share! I'm launching my very first course through Chapter -- @chapter_hq on Twitter – at the end of February, and I'd love for you to join me at https://getchapter.app/@mary/health
These days, if you complain to your doctor that you're gaining weight, stressed, depressed, and tired, you're more likely to get an antidepressant than a thorough examination. But it doesn't have to be that way! That's why I'm excited about my "Chapter" – "Stealth Health Saboteurs" – a course focusing on the overlooked hormonal, nutritional, environmental, lifestyle, and social causes of common health challenges like weight gain, depression, anxiety, and fatigue.
Starting February 28th, and every week for four weeks, you'll get 90 minutes of my hand-picked articles, videos, and podcasts with my in-depth commentary, a chance to ask questions anytime, and a private community.
What's Covered in My Chapter, "Stealth Health Saboteurs?"
My "Stealth Health Saboteurs" chapter course will look at key health challenges, including:
WEIGHT STRUGGLES -- The adage "calories in, calories out" frequently contradicts cutting-edge science and real-life experience. We'll explore how often overlooked – but treatable -- nutritional, metabolic, hormonal, neuroendocrine, and lifestyle imbalances can sabotage a healthy body weight.
STRESSED AND DEPRESSED – Nearly one in four Americans take prescription antidepressants or anti-anxiety drugs. Even more people report episodic depression and anxiety. We'll examine the connection between nutrition, hormones, and the environment, and a population of increasingly stressed and depressed Americans, and what will help beyond medications.
TIRED OF BEING TIRED – Around two-thirds of Americans report feeling regularly exhausted. We'll examine how much sleep we really need, and why many Americans are not getting enough. We'll also look at the hormonal and mind-body factors that get in the way of restorative sleep, and sensible solutions.
HORMONAL HAVOC – Americans deserve more than doctors who write prescriptions and chastise us to "eat less and move more." We'll explore the physical, environmental, and social factors behind the rise in hormonal health challenges, including obesity, thyroid disease, diabetes, and autoimmunity.
Consider my Chapter a crash course that fast-forwards you up the learning curve. In four weeks, you'll get deep knowledge on the all-too-often overlooked – and usually highly treatable – reasons for these symptoms – along with practical solutions!
